How to load funds to my card?

Option One:

You can load funds during your application process. This will save time because the card will show up ready to activate and use. This isn’t a requirement, but it does save time so you can begin spending right away.

Option Two:

After you have activated your card and for future loads go to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site) and login to set up:

  • Click on the Load Funds link in the top menu. Then:
    • Step 1: Select your bank account or enter a new account from which you want to pull funds from
      • Use the Plaid interface to enter the online banking login information for the account you want to pull funds from. Make sure you have your Bank User ID, Password, and Account Number handy before getting started.
    • Step 2: Enter an amount you want to load to your card.
    • Step 3: Select the frequency of the load amount 
      • One Time – Will generate a single deposit on the date you specify
      • Recurring – This option is very flexible and convenient so you always have funds available.  The Weekly Frequency is ideal to keep the card continually refreshed, but stay within your monthly budget. It’s ideal for budgeting so you can “set it and forget it.” 
      • When My Balance Is Below – This option auto-replenishes the card when your balance falls below the amount you set. We suggest choosing a high enough threshold so you aren’t waiting too long for the transfer to clear.
    • Step 4: Click “Load Funds” button, and your request will show in the Pending Reloads.

Each of the load types generates an ACH transfer from your bank. These deposits process in 3-5 days depending on your bank’s procedures. Please make sure you check the deposit has been credited to your card account before spending.

Option Three:

You can also use set up a Direct Deposit from your Employer, Veteran’s Administration or even Federal Tax Return.

Simply click on the Load Funds link in the top menu at https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site).

  • On the lower area of the page, you will see a checkbox that says: “Yes, I want to set up direct deposit with my employer or another payer.”
  • Just check the box to set up direct deposit to reveal your routing and account numbers
  • You can also select “Click here to download the form” to download a prefilled PDF. With this form, all you should need to do is fill out what amount you want to deposit, sign, and date the form and give the form to your employer or other payors.
    How Do I Get a Replacement Card?

    Easy. Just call (877) 440-2889 and select the prompt to report a lost or stolen card. Before you call, pull up your account info online so you can order your replacement card from the service representative. The cost to receive a new card in the mail is $4.95.

    Can I Turn Off My Card If I Lose It?

    Log in to your account online or call customer service at (877) 440-2889.

    How do I activate my card and set my PIN?
    • The moment your card arrives in the mail, open up the envelope and look for the sticker on your card. Call the number on the sticker, or 877.440.2889. Have your card handy.
    • After the prompt asks you to enter your 16-digit card number, carefully tap in the 16 digits.
    • The system will confirm your card number and then you can activate the card. You can also set your PIN by following the prompts
    • YOU ONLY GET TWO CHANCES TO TYPE IN THE 16 DIGITS CORRECTLY
      • If you exceed the two tries, the system will hang up. Call 877.440.2889 again, and this time choose “2” for Lost or Stolen Card. Follow the prompts to speak to a customer service representative and they will take care of your situation!
    How do I cancel a load to my card?
    • Login with your user name and password to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site).
      • Choose Load Funds in the top menu.
      • Scroll to the Pending Reloads section, and cancel the desired load.
    • If using Direct Deposit, notify your employer or payor in writing that you no longer want Direct Deposits made to the GroundSwell card.
    Is there a mobile app for my card?

    We are working on a mobile app. From your phone, simply use your browser and go to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ and log in with your user name and password. You can do everything you need to do while on the go.

    How do I start using RoundUp?
    • If you forgot to opt into RoundUp during card application, you can easily start using it following the simple step below. You can also turn it off at your convenience.
    • Login with your user name and password to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site).
      • Choose Load Funds in the top menu.
      • Scroll to the RoundUp section, and click the checkbox for RoundUp. 
      • To turn off RoundUp, unclick the checkbox.
    How can I see my transactions?
    • Login with your user name and password to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site).
      • Choose My Account in the top menu.
      • A new tab will open allowing you to access a separate secure portal for seeing your transactions and changing your personal information.
      • Choose Register as a new user the first time you launch this page.
        • You will set up a user name and password. The user name will not be your email address associated with this account.  
        • Be sure to securely store these credentials for future use.
      • Card Activity shows your recent transactions. Select the time frame to see transactions from a certain time period.
      • Statements are your monthly statements available for download.
    How do I set up alerts?
    • Login with your user name and password to https://card.groundswellcard.com/ (GroundSwell Card Account site).
      • Choose My Account in the top menu.
      • A new tab will open allowing you to access a separate secure portal for seeing your transactions and changing your personal information.
      • Choose Register as a new user the first time you launch this page, or login.
        • You will set up a user name and password. The user name will not be your email address associated with this account.  
        • Be sure to securely store these credentials for future use.
      • Choose Manage Account in the left navigation. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Alerts section. Click Manage.
      • Choose the type of alerts you want and select text or email alerts. 
      • Balance Inquiry and Transactions Alerts are most convenient as text alerts, so you always know what you spent and your current balance.
